For contractors
What this directory is, how your listing works, and what it costs. Which is nothing, for the listing itself.
What this directory is
A neutral directory of Kansas City metro roofing contractors with registry standing checked against public records: the Kansas Attorney General's roofing registration directory, the Kansas City, Missouri contractor license list, and the city and county authorities that cover the Missouri suburbs. Every status carries the date we checked it and a link to the source.
There are no rankings here. No ratings, no reviews of ours, no badges, no sponsored placement, no "best of" anything. Listings are alphabetical, and that is stated on every page. A homeowner reading your listing sees exactly the facts we could verify and a plain statement of what we could not.
How listing works
Listings are added when we can verify a real business at a real metro address: a state registry record, a municipal license, a website with a local presence. If you are not listed and want to be, email corrections@kcroofingdirectory.com or use the claim form and leave the listing URL blank. Verification is free.
If you are listed and it is yours, claim it. A claimed listing means you sent us your details through the claim form, we verified each one against its source, and the listing states the result. Unverified fields stay marked "Not listed" until someone can confirm them. We do not lift marketing copy off your website into the verified fields: those fields exist because they were checked.
What we verify, and how
- Kansas AG roofing registration: against the AG's published directory, with the registration number and the date checked.
- Kansas City, MO contractor license: against the city's licensed contractor database.
- Johnson County and municipal licensing, where the listing's city uses them.
- Manufacturer certifications: on the manufacturer's own locator, never on the contractor's say-so.
- Google reviews: we link to your Google Business Profile reviews. We never copy the ratings here.
Corrections and removal
If a status, phone number, or anything else on your listing is wrong, email corrections@kcroofingdirectory.com with the correct legal entity name and the source. Ambiguous registry matches stay blank on this site rather than guessed, which is why some listings show no standing at all. If you want your listing removed, say so and it goes.
The paid part
The only paid product is the bid request pipeline: a homeowner submits the form on a listing or city page, and their request routes to one contractor, named before submission, by exclusive ZIP assignment. Assignments come from a signed agreement and cover specific ZIP codes. The request is stored with the consent record and delivered to you by email and SMS. Prices are in the next section. See the privacy page for what the homeowner agrees to. ZIP-level demand, volume estimates, and which territories are open are on the ZIP coverage page.
Payment never touches the listings. It cannot change your standing display, your position, your completeness count, or anything else a homeowner sees. There is no premium tier because there is nothing to be premium about.
Pricing: exclusive ZIP territories
Prices as of 2026.
You hold a block of 3 to 5 ZIP codes. While you hold them, every bid request from those ZIPs goes to you and to no other contractor. It is never resold. One contractor per ZIP. Month to month, cancel anytime.
| Territory | ZIP codes | Monthly fee |
|---|---|---|
| Founding exclusive territory | A block of 3 to 5 metro ZIPs you choose, if open | $149 a month, locked for your first 60 days |
| Storm-zone territory | A block of 3 to 5 from the Wyandotte County and Shawnee ZIPs listed below | $199 a month |
The monthly fee is credited toward your leads
Each bid request you receive is priced by what the homeowner picked on the form. The monthly fee counts toward those charges, so you pay whichever is higher: the fee, or the total for the month's leads. Any unused credit ends with that month and does not roll over.
| Bid request | Price |
|---|---|
| Repair | $75 |
| Replacement | $110 |
| Storm job: storm damage, or an insurance claim filed or planned | $150 |
| Inspection, or "not sure" | $50 |
A request that is both, such as a repair with an insurance claim filed, is priced as a storm job. Inspection and "not sure" requests are $50 each.
Founding rate locked for your first 60 days: the $149 a month founding territory fee does not change during your first 60 days.
Two examples on a $149 territory. A month with one repair request ($75) costs $149. A month with two replacement requests ($220) costs $220, because the fee is already inside that total.
What we do not promise
This site does not yet measure its own traffic, so we do not promise a number of leads. A month can bring none. What you pay for is exclusivity: while you hold a ZIP, no other contractor gets bid requests from it through this site. The volume column on the coverage page is a model of the market, not a forecast of your requests.
Storm-zone ZIP codes
Kansas City, Kansas (Wyandotte County): 66101, 66102, 66103, 66104, 66105, 66106, 66109, 66111, 66112. Shawnee: 66203, 66216, 66217, 66218, 66226.
How to reserve ZIPs
Check which ZIPs are open on the coverage page, then email corrections@kcroofingdirectory.com (or call (816) 643-6667) with your company name and the ZIPs you want. We reply with a one page agreement listing your ZIPs, these prices, and where you want requests delivered. A ZIP is yours from the day it is assigned under a signed agreement. Your free listing stays free whether you reserve ZIPs or not.

Why this is worth your time
After a hail event, homeowners in this metro check exactly one thing before they call anyone: whether you are registered. This site makes that check take two minutes, and it sends them to you with the verification already behind them. The listings with complete verified details are the ones that read as established businesses. Claiming yours is how it gets that way.
