Should I use this directory to compare and contact Kansas City roofers?

KC Roofing Directory is a free, alphabetical list of Kansas City metro roofers checked against public records, with an option to request an estimate from one named contractor. Whether it fits depends on how you want to hire. It is a fit for homeowners and commercial property owners who need roof repair, replacement, storm or hail damage work, or an inspection and want to check registry standing or contact one roofer without having their details resold to a pool of companies. For urgent active leaks, browse the directory and call a roofer directly instead of waiting on a form request.

Your ZIP code

This decides which contractor receives your request, if one covers your area.

The contractor pays us for the introduction. No request is resold. How requests work.

After the hail, in order

  1. 1Photograph before you touch anything. Adjusters want timestamped photos of every elevation before repairs start.
  2. 2Check the contractor against the registry. Two minutes, and it is the highest-value check you can run. Start at the verification page.
  3. 3Do not sign a contingency agreement on the doorstep. It binds you to one contractor before your claim exists.
  4. 4Get the scope in writing before a crew arrives. Verbal scopes do not survive contact with an adjuster.

How bids work here

The contractor pays us for the introduction, not for directory placement. A bid request goes to one contractor, named before you submit. We do not send your details to a pool of companies and we do not resell them. The form works by ZIP code: if no contractor has the assignment for yours, we tell you instead of collecting your information.

Your consent is recorded before anything is sent, and you can withdraw it any time at unsubscribe. The full policy is on the privacy page.

Corrections and getting listed

If your company is listed, you can claim the listing and confirm its details. Being listed, claimed, or verified is free.

Claiming takes one form. A person checks each fact against its source before anything changes.

Spot a wrong phone number, a mismatched registry status, or a listing for a business that closed? Email corrections@kcroofingdirectory.com and we will check it against the source. Contractors who want to be listed, or to claim a listing and confirm their own details, can claim it here or write to the same address: corrections@kcroofingdirectory.com. Confirmation is free, and being listed or verified here is not something a contractor can pay for. The contractor page explains how listing and verification work.

The registry behind this directory

The Kansas Attorney General publishes a roofing registration directory. As of the last check on 2026-09-04 it held 1,773 registrations in good standing, 1,516 revoked, and 20 enforcement actions on file. Those numbers describe the state registry, not the 79 contractors listed here. Statuses for listed contractors are on each profile and on the verification page, each with the date it was checked. 18 of the 19 cities in the metro have listings so far.
