Roofing licenses and permits, city by city

19 jurisdictions · sourced from the issuing authorities · permits checked 2026-09-06 · fees checked 2026-09-22

Kansas has no state roofing license for general contractors: roofing contractors register with the Kansas Attorney General (that is the registry we check), and cities in Johnson County require a county contractor license for permitted work. Missouri has no state registry at all; KCMO and each municipality license contractors themselves. Rules change and jurisdictions update their portals, so confirm with the office listed for your address before work starts.
